Shaw executes engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) and design-build projects around the world, primarily for the energy, chemicals, environmental, infrastructure and emergency response industries.
From conceptualization to commissioning and startup, clients depend on Shaw to deliver quality projects safely, on time and within budget. Our EPC projects include the following:
- Six AP1000® nuclear power units at three sites in the U.S.
- One of the largest ethylene plants in the world - a one million metric ton facility with a 220-MW cogeneration power unit - in Singapore
- Two new 620-MW gas-fired units in North Carolina
- A polysilicon manufacturing plant in the U.S. that will serve the clean energy market by producing a primary material found in solar modules
In addition to our leading EPC services, Shaw has worked on thousands of design-build projects for government, commercial and industrial facilities worldwide. Our design-build projects include the following:
- The Mixed Oxide Fuel Fabrication Facility in Aiken, S.C., a first-of-its-kind facility in the U.S. to process weapons-grade plutonium into fuel for nuclear power plants
- The Inner Harbor Navigation Canal Surge Barrier project in New Orleans, La., the largest design-build civil works project ever awarded by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers
