Fraud Alert
Recently, individuals have reported receiving a communication that is allegedly being sent by Shaw Stone & Webster, Inc. The communication informs the receiver that he or she was chosen as a mystery shopper and includes a check to use for shopping and compensation. It also instructs employees to use a portion of the check to attempt to wire money to an account with Western Union.
Please be advised that these communications did not come from The Shaw Group Inc., nor any of its subsidiaries, and the checks that are enclosed with these communications are fraudulent and not real checks from The Shaw Group Inc.
Please disregard all such communications. This is a scam that could result in identity theft.
