CB&I values the relationships we have with our suppliers and we view each one of them as a critical part of our team. CB&I is always looking to improve the way we manage our communication and bidding process with our global supplier base. In recent years, CB&I has formed a strategic agreement with MateriaLink to develop Internet-based, procurement software solutions for our company. These systems are summarized below:
CB&I Supplier Portal
This is our newest system that provides our suppliers with a single platform to communicate to CB&I their locations, contacts, biographical information and product offerings. Through this system, you also have the ability to complete an application to become a qualified supplier of CB&I. Suppliers will find the qualification process to be quite thorough, and the Supplier Portal will guide you through the process in several easy steps. We will communicate with you by email as your request moves through the various stages of qualification. Once you have completed the registration and qualification process, your information will then be accessible by all of CB&I’s procurement personnel in any one of our offices worldwide as a potential supplier for future business opportunities. There is no fee for using this system.
The Supplier Portal is an all-electronic process which can be completed at your own pace. For those suppliers who have already completed our previous paper-driven qualification process, or have simply been a supplier for a long time, we ask for your cooperation in setting up your information in the Supplier Portal that will be used by CB&I for many years to come.
CB&I Bid Management System
This is a secure website for suppliers to access our Requests for Quote (RFQ) packages, to communicate with us during the bidding process and to submit their quotations. This site offers suppliers a central location to manage all of their open RFQs with any of CB&I’s procurement offices worldwide. CB&I has been using this system for more than three years and we have found the system makes the bidding process less complicated and more efficient for both suppliers and CB&I buyers. This system is currently not used for subcontracts or purchases of small consumable type materials. There is a nominal fee for using this system that is paid directly to MateriaLink.
By clicking on the link below, you will be directed to MateriaLink’s website so you can create a username and password that will allow you access to both of the CB&I systems. All suppliers will need access to the Supplier Portal. Depending on your product offerings, MateriaLink will advise you if you should also sign up for the Bid Management System.
