Design-Build

Shaw offers construction management, design-build, general construction, and major renovation/maintenance services for government, commercial and industrial facilities including warehouses, medical facilities, research facilities, maintenance facilities, office buildings, hangars and air terminals, and support facilities.

Shaw has worked on thousands of design-build projects in the chemicals, energy, environmental, and infrastructure industries worldwide-from maintenance and warehouse facilities in Arizona, to a railroad tank car manufacturing facility in Louisiana; and from the Mixed Oxide Fuel Fabrication facility in South Carolina to army base facilities in Iraq.

For the past two decades, we have offered extensive design-build, construction management, and general contracting services to the U.S. Department of Defense as part of the Department's efforts to upgrade and replace existing military facilities. We have also worked on more than 12,000 projects at 85 military locations across the country, including more than 150 base realignment and closure (BRAC)-related projects.

Shaw's broad engineering capabilities and construction expertise make for a rare combination of talent and in-house design-build capabilities. We combine our state-of-the-art technologies with our innovative and reliable construction methods to deliver cost-effective quality projects on schedule and within budget.

Accomplishments:
In 2004, Shaw received the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification from the U.S. Green Building Council, whose certification program encourages and facilitates the design and construction of sustainable buildings.
