Facilities Management

Shaw provides diverse facilities management services for the operation of large, mission-essential military and aerospace facilities, including:

  • America's only manned space launch center at Kennedy Space Center in Florida
  • U.S. Department of Energy's premier research and development facility at Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico
  • Fort Rucker, home to the Army's Aviation Warfighting Center in Alabama

Under comprehensive government services contracts, Shaw is responsible for providing the full range of facility management activities, including maintenance and operations of all facets of transportation services, grounds maintenance, utility systems; heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC); pest control; solid waste management; supply services; and material maintenance.

Facilities management services include:

We also bring specific technologies and practices customized for facilities management, including:

Advanced Work Control Systems – We operate fully integrated, centralized Work Control Centers (WCCs) to receive, process, and control all work activities using advanced Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).

Innovations and Commercial Best Practices – We use innovative approaches and best practices to reduce the level of effort required to perform maintenance and repair functions while improving the quality of workmanship. Staff and operate a 1,500-member workforce.

Perform operations, maintenance, main/service line disconnection, and utility tie-ins on all DOE-owned outside water distribution and wastewater utility systems.
