Shaw Names President of Maintenance Division
BATON ROUGE, La., Aug 12, 2002 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- The Shaw Group Inc. (NYSE: SGR) ("Shaw" or "the Company") today announced that Ron McCall has joined the Company as President of its newly formed Maintenance Division.

This appointment is simultaneous with the separation of Shaw's Construction and Maintenance operations into two distinct divisions within Shaw's organizational structure. As President, Mr. McCall will oversee global maintenance operations for the Company and will report directly to Richard F. Gill, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Shaw.

"Ron will be a tremendous asset to Shaw, bringing proven leadership and a long history of success in the maintenance industry, where for the last 20 years he has been a key player in this sector."

Mr. McCall joins The Shaw Group from Turner Industries where he served for 23 years, and as Senior Vice President of Construction and Maintenance of the Western Division for the past 20 years. Prior to joining Turner, Mr. McCall worked for C.F. Braun Engineers for 6 years.

Mr. McCall holds a Bachelor of Science degree from McNeese State University. He is currently Secretary of the Louisiana Association of Business and Industry Executive Board and has also served in various capacities for Associated Builders and Contractors, United Way and the Southwest Louisiana Chamber of Commerce.
