How to Speak Up

Drop a hint. Remind someone to think before acting.

Report it. Concerns must be reported. There are several avenues employees can use to report something: report incidents to a Shaw supervisor, Shaw’s chief compliance officer, our Internal Audit department or our Legal department.

Call the anonymous toll-free hotline at 1.888.337.7499 to communicate concerns to Shaw’s management if you wish to report an incident without identifying yourself. The hotline is available for you to share your concerns 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

You can have a powerful influence on others by speaking up directly or by discussing it with the appropriate supervisor or manager. And if you prefer, you can do so confidentially and anonymously. The Speak Up hotline is administered by an independent company that provides an anonymous reporting service for you to share your concerns 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It is an option that is always available if you want to help, but prefer not to give your name.

What to Expect When You Call

You will be greeted by an interviewer, who will document the situation with you in detail. The interviewer will assign a report number to you and ask you to make one call back. The information will be relayed to Shaw’s management to investigate our concern.

Using the report number and scheduled call back date given to you, you will make the follow-up call. You may be asked additional questions for more information, and you may need to check back periodically.

If you report something anonymously, please check back. Shaw might need more information to adequately address the issue.
